Dragon Air is a Hong Kong based international airline, which was established in the year 1985. This is the very first commercial flight in the Hong Kong aviation industry. Mr Patrick Yeung is the Chief Executive officer of this airline. In the year 1987, the airline became a member of the IATA.
Their first aircraft was a Boeing 737-200A and now the fleet includes more than 30 aircrafts. This airline plays an important role in keeping passengers connected through the regions of the world. Their route network expanded and soon there were many flights to many regions in the world. In 1993 the first A320 aircraft was included in the fleet and in the year 1995, it was the A-330 aircraft. By the year 2000, all the flights became scheduled services. Boeing 747-300 was purchased in 2002 to make the fleet even more dynamic.
This airline was the first to take initiative in local pilot training. It was in the year 1980 that the first training batch was started, and by now more than 70 cadets have completed their course.
