The key people responsible for bringing the airline so far are Jozsef Varadi (CEO) and Diederik Pen (COO). In the year 2007, the CEO Jozsef Varadi was honored with the Ernst & Young award of the Brave Innovator.

The airline offers buy on board service named Wizz Cafe. In addition to this, it also encourages the passengers to bring a smaller cabin bag of the size 42x32x25cm on-board for free.
